Magnetic Contacts 

Magnetic Contacts is a door and window sensor that functions using an internal reed switch in conjunction with a magnet. This is the most common way for a door and window sensor to operate. These devices are known for being particularly easy to use and enroll with security systems. Magnetic Contact sensors can be added to existing wired Alarm Systems.

They are ideal for protecting doors, windows and patio doors and any opening device such as a drawer or cupboard for example. Magnetic Contacts are perfect for use in situations where it is not suitable to fit PIR sensors, for example where there are pets or animals. Magnetic contact switches are the most common sensing devices for sensing opening and closing of doors and windows.

They are cheap and reliable. Such sensors consist of two parts . Magnetic contact that is installed on the door / window frame and an Activating magnet that is mounted on the door. The magnetic  is held in no-alarm contact position when door / window is kept closed. Magnetic contacts are available in variety of finishes & materials.

Heavy duty versions are also available for heavy doors, shutters and gates. The magnetic switches normally have both 'Normally open' & 'Normally Closed' contacts for easier integration with existing systems.
