Description

SC/APC 5M Single Mode Pigtails

The SC/APC 5M Single Mode Pigtails are premium fiber optic cables designed for optimal performance in telecommunications and networking environments. Featuring SC/APC connectors, these pigtails are engineered to ensure low insertion loss, making them ideal for long-distance signal transmission while maintaining high signal integrity.

With a length of 5 meters (approximately 16.4 feet), these pigtails offer flexibility and ease of installation in various settings, such as data centers and telecommunications networks. They utilize high-quality single mode fiber with a core diameter of 9/125µm, facilitating efficient data transfer over long distances, which is essential for modern high-speed networks.

The pigtails are optimized for superior performance, typically exhibiting an insertion loss of ≤ 0.3 dB, which ensures minimal signal degradation throughout the connection. Additionally, they boast a return loss of ≥ 60 dB, significantly reducing signal reflections and enhancing overall transmission quality. The APC (Angled Physical Contact) polishing of the connectors further improves performance by minimizing contact loss, making these pigtails particularly suitable for applications that require high precision.

The SC/APC 5M Single Mode Pigtails are housed in a durable jacket made from either PVC or LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) material, providing both safety and flexibility during installation. Designed to operate effectively in a wide temperature range, typically from -40°C to +70°C, they are suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications.

Each pigtail complies with industry standards such as Telcordia GR-326, undergoing rigorous factory testing to ensure quality and reliability. They are carefully packaged to prevent damage during transport, ensuring they are ready for immediate use upon arrival.

Our SC single-mode fiber optic pigtail comprises an exposed 9/125m OS2 fiber cable at one end and a pre-installed simplex SC/APC connector at the other end. fiber optic pigtails are commonly used to splice the fiber in the cable so that they can be connected to the patch panel or equipment.
