The Fanvil CS40 is a portable conferencing speakerphone for meeting rooms, huddle spaces, and remote workers. It connects to PCs and mobile devices via USB-A, USB-C, or Bluetooth. Because it runs on a built-in 4000 mAh battery, it does not need a power outlet during a meeting. The CS40 is compact at 300 × 120 × 38 mm and weighs 549 g, so it moves easily between rooms or travel bags.

Microphone Array

The CS40 uses three omnidirectional analog microphones. Together, they capture voice from up to 3 m in any direction around the unit. This makes the CS40 suitable for round-table meetings where participants sit on all sides. Microphone sensitivity is rated at -32 dBFs, and the frequency response runs from 20 Hz to 8 kHz — the full wideband voice capture range.

In addition, the CS40 includes three layers of audio processing. Environment Noise Cancellation (ENC) filters out steady background noise such as air conditioning and fans. Adaptive Noise Suppression (ANS) handles variable noise sources. Automatic Gain Control (AGC) then balances volume levels across speakers, so a quiet voice at the far end of the table comes through as clearly as one seated nearby.

Speaker Output

The CS40 carries two 52 mm drivers, each rated at 5 W into a 4 Ω load. Combined output is therefore 10 W. Sensitivity is rated at 87 dB ± 2 dB. The speaker frequency response runs from 100 Hz to 20 kHz in both speech mode and music mode. As a result, the CS40 handles both voice calls and audio playback across the same bandwidth. Connectivity

The CS40 connects in three ways. First, USB-A and USB-C cables allow direct connection to laptops and desktop PCs. The 1.2 m cable gives enough reach for most desk and table setups. Second, Bluetooth 5.4 provides wireless connection to PCs, tablets, and mobile phones. The operating range extends to 20 m. The CS40 stores up to 8 paired devices and supports 2 simultaneous active connections. Supported Bluetooth profiles are HSP V1.2, HFP V1.7, and A2DP V1.2, covering both call audio and stereo music streaming.

Battery and Runtime

The 4000 mAh battery supports up to 10 hours of talk time and up to 8 hours of music playback. Standby time reaches 16 hours. A full charge takes 3.5 hours. Because all three runtimes are strong, the CS40 covers a full working day of back-to-back meetings without needing a top-up.

The CS40 operates between -10 °C and 60 °C and handles humidity from 10% to 95% RH. Storage temperature extends further, from -20 °C to 80 °C. These ratings mean the unit is suitable for use in a wide range of office and field environments.
